PROTECTION & INDEMNITY
Hull and Protection & Indemnity (P&I) insurance are two distinct types of marine insurance often combined to provide seamless coverage for vessel-owners. The packaged Hull and P&I Policy creates a comprehensive program providing coverage for both physical damage to the vessel(s) as well as third-party liability.
Limits
- Up to $5,000,000 any one vessel
- Up to $1,000,000 P&I any one vessel/occurrence, Combined Single Limit
Coverage Details
Hull - Covers physical loss or damage to the Insured vessel(s), its machinery, and equipment.
Protection & Indemnity* - protects the vessel owner against legal liability arising from negligence in the operation of the Insured vessel, for both property damage and bodily injury including crew.
*always written in conjunction with Hull coverage
